Configuration Elements of the Pipette Module

The Pipette Module is, ultimately, just a configuration of your IndySoft client. The Export/Import utility (run by the installer) loads the following items.

Sample pipettes

  • PIPETTE001
  • PIPETTE002
  • PIPETTE003
  • PIPETTE004

These show what your pipettes might look like once configured, and let you start exploring quickly.

Pipette Cal event

The Pipette Cal event is a modified version of the standard Calibration event with elements specific to pipettes — including a custom rule that launches a project script to collect pipette data.

Because the Pipette Cal event stores test-point data in a format that isn't convenient for reporting, two specialized certs are provided as a basis for reporting Pipette Cal results.

Project scripts

Project scripts

There are several equipment project scripts, three event project scripts, and three Web-Tier tools project scripts used for configuring equipment and templates, and for collecting data in the Pipette Cal event.

Four tolerance formulas are provided. They mark a gage as a pipette (on the Test Points tab) and control how tolerances are interpreted.

note

Pipette is present for legacy purposes and is equivalent to using Pipette % Value.

Because several test-point columns are used in special ways, Setup and Result grids named PIPETTE are provided.

Sample test points and specifications

The sample pipettes illustrate how test points can be set up, and what the Specifications (Uncertainty Attributes) data looks like:
