Clone PIPETTE CAL event

The IndySoft Pipette Module includes a base PIPETTE CAL event. If this is your initial setup, your first step should be to clone the PIPETTE CAL event. The clone becomes your actual production event, ready for you to customize with selection rules, completion rules, security settings, and so on.

caution

If you're upgrading an existing Pipette Module, the upgrade will completely overwrite the event called PIPETTE CAL. For this reason, IndySoft advises against using PIPETTE CAL as a production-level custom event. Treat it as a placeholder for new pipette-event upgrades; your custom-named clone is the production event that won't be wiped out by upgrades.

After an upgrade, you can review the differences between the official event and your customized event as needed.

Cloning the event

Open Workflow Configuration, click New Event Configuration in the upper-left, and make sure you're cloning from PIPETTE CAL.

Step 2 — items that must not be changed

On step 2, several items must never be changed — they're used by the COLLECT PIPETTE DATA event project script.

note

The Y * Z-Factor was referred to as the Z-Factor in 12.1 and earlier versions. The renaming makes the term more technically correct with ISO 8655. The Y-factor is logged independently with individual test points, for reporting purposes.
