Globally Linking Gages to Templates
Recommended for system administrators only. Proceed with caution.
To link existing equipment to a template across the system, perform a Global Equipment Change.
Launching the global event
From the main-screen menu, select Events → Misc → Global Equipment Change.

Selecting equipment
Select the gage information based on how you want to include all matching equipment. In this example, Type is chosen so all caliper types will be linked to the template selected in the final step. You could go further with sub-type or manufacturer — it's up to you how you want to describe the equipment to be linked.

Click Next. The date and time are automatically added to the event. Click Next.

Modifying the equipment fields
Equipment is already selected. Click the Modify icon 
.

The Modify Equipment Fields dialog opens. Select the template you want all the equipment linked to.

Click OK, then Finish — the equipment is now linked to the template.
