Adding Links to Templates

You can link individual gage information to templates in IndySoft's Commercial Lab Management.

To begin, click the Template Link on the Equipment Layout.

This opens the following dialog:

Click the ellipsis button to place the template name in the Template Link field.

Choose Equipment Template

Make a search selection based on the Search By menu and click OK to associate the template name with the equipment on the Equipment View screen.

Some templates may have default links that auto-populate when a new item is linked. See the help manual for more on Default Template Links.

Linking equipment features to a template

To link equipment features to a template:

1. Open the Template.
2. Make changes by selecting the check mark next to the Manufacturer / Model Number and the Department. This locks these features on the main screen for equipment linked to the template.
3. Click OK at the bottom of the screen — the information transfers to the equipment linked to the template.

When the main screen returns, make sure the links are also checked in the Status Panel boxes. Click the Save icon to complete. Notice the Manufacturer / Model Number and Department appear in red — changes to those fields are no longer accessible.

To complete the linking process, click the binoculars icon next to the Template Link feature on the Status Panel. This opens the template, where you can make further changes.
