Globally Linking Gages to Templates

Recommended for system administrators only. Proceed with caution.

To link current equipment system-wide to a template, perform a Global Equipment Change.

1. Click Events on the main-screen menu.
2. Select Admin → Global Equipment Change.

3. After the global event launches, select the gage information based on how you want to include all equipment that applies. In this example, the Type is chosen so that all Caliper types will be linked to the template chosen in the event's last step.

   tip

   You could go further into the filter and use sub-type or manufacturer. It's up to you how you want to describe the equipment to be linked.

4. Click Next. Date and time are added automatically. Click Next.

5. Equipment is already selected. Select Modify and use the new icon to add criteria .

6. The Modify Equipment Fields dialog appears. Select the template you want all the equipment linked to.

7. Click OK, then Finish. The equipment is now linked to the template.
