Repair

Launch the Repair event by selecting Events → Repair from the main screen.

The Repair event is useful for on-site repairs or service to equipment. There are typically four steps, but as with all IndySoft events, the steps can be modified using the Event Configuration Wizard. See the user help files for more on the Event Configuration Wizard.

Service/repair parts can be added through Add/Edit → Parts → Service/Repair Parts to populate a part-selection list.

Click the Add icon to add charges for work.

Choosing Service/Repair Parts for the Repair event

This tab captures information about a repair or service event on the selected equipment. Both parts and labor items can be entered. All items appear in a grid that shows line-item costs and totals the cost for the repair/service below the grid.

There are several ways to add a part or labor item:

This button opens the Select a Repair Part dialog, where you can specify the part company, part number, quantity, unit cost, and notes. Service/repair parts can be added to the drop-down list from the IndySoft main screen using Add/Edit. Example dialog:

Choose From Repair Parts Assigned to Gage (Ctrl+Insert)

This button opens a dialog listing all service/repair parts assigned to the selected equipment on the IndySoft equipment layout's Service/Repair Parts list. This list designates the parts typically required when performing a repair or service on this piece of equipment. Example dialog:

The total appears at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3 — Repair Procedures

Enter any repair procedures that apply to the repair process.

Event docs can contain images to log repair evidence.

Step 4 — Finish

Click Finish to complete the event.
